Who We Are
I am Christopher Hocking and I graduated from Colorado Mesa University with a degree in Accounting and have gained multiple years worth of experience working with midsize to large corporations. My expertise spans a variety of industries, including agriculture, livestock, logistics, and small retail operations. I began my career as a bookkeeper while completing my degree and advanced to the role of controller, where I developed a deep understanding of the function and flow of daily business operations. This progression also allowed me to think strategically about building successful companies from the ground up.
In addition to my private-sector experience, I served as an IRS Revenue Agent, which provided me with extensive knowledge of tax compliance, audits, and business entity structures, including Schedule C businesses, C Corporations, S Corporations, and Partnerships. My role as a Tax Advisor further sharpened my ability to guide clients through complex financial and regulatory requirements.
My mission is to empower business owners by teaching them the critical role accounting plays in their operations. By working with me, clients gain a thorough understanding of proper bookkeeping practices and the effective application of tax laws, enabling them to build sustainable businesses, maximize profits, and minimize tax liabilities.
One of my primary focuses is helping business owners address a common challenge: separating business assets from personal use, following the Economic Entity Assumption. This ensures that financial records are accurate, which not only supports informed decision-making but also allows clients to walk away with the maximum profit at the end of the day.
With my diverse experience in both public and private sectors, I offer tailored solutions for businesses of all sizes. My goal is to provide clients with the tools and knowledge they need to build strong financial foundations, operate efficiently, and achieve long-term success.
